Lifebuoy Self-igniting Light Installation and Usage

  1. Installation: Fix the bracket on the middle bulkhead at the bottom of the lifebuoy hook, then hang the lamp upside down on the lifebuoy hook with a hoisting rope, and use the bracket to clamp the lamp body to prevent it from shaking. Finally, tie the anti-loss rope to the lifebuoy rope. The seawater battery circle light also has two water inlet ropes, which should be tightly tied to the lifebuoy hook during normal times.
  2. Usage: When a person falls into the water on board a ship, the crew should immediately pull the lamp out of the bracket, and at the same time, remove the hoisting rope from the lifebuoy hook (if it is a seawater battery circle light, the lamp should be pushed downward to force the water inlet rope to come out with the pulling rope, so as to facilitate water inlet). Then throw the lamp to the person who fell into the water with the lifebuoy. At this time, the lamp will float on the water surface with the lamp head up, and the mercury switch of the dry or lithium battery circle light will automatically turn on the lamp.
  3. Precautions:
    a. The lifebuoy light must be equipped upside down, that is, the lamp head faces downward.b. Do not arbitrarily disassemble the lampshade to ensure that the lamp is in a sealed state.c. Dry battery lifebuoy lights must use No. 1 alkaline zinc-manganese batteries. Acidic batteries cannot be used.
    d. The validity period is generally based on the battery’s effective date. However, the battery quality must be checked regularly. If the light turns red, the flash frequency is less than 50 times/min or greater than 70 times/min, it proves that the battery voltage has dropped. At this time, the customer must prepare to replace the battery or have a new lamp ready.
    e. For seawater battery lifebuoy lights, do not randomly pull the water inlet cover. If the cover is found loose and the seawater battery is corroded and expanded, it proves that the battery has begun to fail. The light should be scrapped.
    f. The lifebuoy lights all use special bulbs, and customers cannot replace or self-match them at will. If the bulb is broken, it should be provided by the factory. The product’s validity period is 3 years.
